A man in his 20's remains in critical condition this morning after he was stabbed in Kilkenny.
Three men have been arrested in connection with the attack and Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Gardaí found the man on the street with stab injuries when they were called to a house on Love Lane, Castlecomer at around 7pm yesterday evening.
He was taken to St Lukes Hospital for treatment and remains in a critical condition.
The three arrested men - two aged in their 30's and one in his 40's - are being held at Kilkenny Garda Station.
The scene has been preserved for a technical examination.
Gardaí are urging anyone who may have been in the Love Lane area of Castlecomer yesterday evening between 5pm and 7pm to contact them.
