A man is in a critical condition in hospital following a crash in Dublin this afternoon.
The four-car collision happened on St Peters Road, Walkinstown at around 1.10pm.
A man in his 70s, who was the sole occupant of one of the cars, has been taken to Tallaght Hospital.
His condition is described as critical.
The people in the other cars were not injured.
The road is currently closed and diversions are in place.

Note: Gardaí earlier reported that one person was pronounced dead at the scene, but later updated their initial statement to clarify there were no fatal injuries
