A 40-year-old man has died in a crash in Co Roscommon.
The car he was driving collided with another vehicle at Carramore, about two kilometers outside Roscommon town, at 11.20 last night.
He was taken by ambulance to Ballinsloe General Hospital after he was seriously injured in the impact, but was later pronounced dead.
There was no-one else in his car.
The 44-year-old female driver and 15-year-old female passenger of the second car have been taken to Tullamore General Hospital for treatment to non life-threatening injuries.
A section of the Roscommon to Athlone road is closed to facilitate a forensic examination and diversions are in place.
Gardaí have launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses.
