A man in his 20s has died after the motorcycle he was driving collided with a car in County Cork this evening.

The crash happened at Lackenroe in Glanmire at around 6pm.

The man – aged in his 20s – was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to Cork University Hospital.

Gardaí said the driver of the car was also hospitalised as a precaution.

Diversions are currently in place while gardaí undertake a technical examination of the scene.
