A man in his 20s has died after being assaulted near a bonfire in Dublin in the early hours of this morning.
Gardaí believe the man was at a bonfire at St Marks in the Clondalkin area at 3.10am when he was chased by a number of people across the Neilstown Road into Liscarne Gardens where he was assaulted and died.
His body remains at the scene and the State Pathologist has been notified.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the area of St Marks, Neilstown Road and Liscarne Gardens in the early hours of this morning to contact them at Ronanstown Garda Station on 01-666-7700, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111, or any Garda Station.
