A man has died following an alleged assault in Limerick earlier today.
The incident happened on Roches Row, between Thomas St and Roches Street, in the city centre at around 2pm this afternoon.
A man in his late 50s suffered stab wounds, and was taken to University Hospital Limerick.

He was pronounced dead a short time later.
A man in his 50s has been arrested, and is being held at Roxboro Road Garda Station.
