A man has appeared in court charged in connection with the 2015 murder of Andrew Guerrine.

Mr Guerrine’s body was discovered at Steelstown Lane near Rathcoole, County Dublin on the 23rd May 2015.

It is understood he had sustained a number of stab wounds.

At the time, Gardaí confirmed that a murder investigation was underway and that Mr Guerrine had died in “violent circumstances.”

The details of his post mortem were not made public for “operational reasons.”

In June 2015, gardaí arrested a 37-year-old man in connection with the investigation.

This morning a 40-year-old man appeared before Tallaght District Court charged in connection with the murder.

He has been remanded in custody to appear before Cloverhill District Court next week.
