A man has been charged in relation to the murder of Noel Kirwan in west Dublin last year.
The man - who is in his twenties - is due to appear before Blanchardstown District Court tomorrow morning.
Noel Kirwan was shot dead outside his home in St. Ronan's Drive in Clondalkin Dublin on December 22nd.
A lone gunman is believed to have fired a number of shots through Mr Kirwan’s car window in the driveway of his home.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and a female passenger in the car was uninjured.
The alleged shooter ran to a waiting Peugeot Partner van – which was later found burnt out at the Neilstown Shopping Centre.
Mr Kirwan was a friend of Gerry hutch and the killing has been linked to the Hutch / Kinahan feud.
The man who has now been charged was arrested alongside a woman in her twenties on Tuesday.
The woman has been released without charge and a file will be prepared for the DPP.
