A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a man near a Halloween bonfire in Dublin.

Robert Ellis was attending the bonfire at St Marks in the Clondalkin area during the early hours of November 1st.

At around 3.10am he was chased by a number of people into Liscarne Gardens, where he was fatally injured.

Gardaí investigating the murder arrested a man in his 20s this morning.

He is being detained at Lucan Garda Station.
