Gardaí say the man became aggressive after being stopped for a search
A man has been arrested following the assault of two gardaí in Dublin.
A garda spokesperson said a 25-year-old man became aggressive after he was stopped for the purposes of a search in Sheriff St in the city centre.
The man allegedly assaulted two garda officers – both of whom were taken to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital for treatment.
They have since been released.
A quantity of tablets was seized and are currently being analysed.
The man was arrested and is detained at Store Street Garda Station.
