A young man remains in hospital this morning following a shooting in the Coolock area of Dublin last night.

The 18-year-old man sustained an apparent gunshot wound to his leg shortly before 10pm last night at Darndale Park.

He was treated at the scene and taken by Ambulance to Beaumont Hospital, where his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
