A 50 year old male pedal cyclist was fatally injured when he was in collision with a camper van earlier today.

Gardaí at Shannon, Co. Clare are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred at approximately 11.45am this morning on the N18 main Limerick to Galway Road near Bunratty.
 
The man's body has been removed to University Hospital Limerick, and no other people were injured in this incident.

The stretch of road is currently closed to facilitate a Garda Forensic Collision Examination.
