Less than a third of Irish people will partake in the Black Friday sales, according to a new survey.
The survey found 27% of Irish adults would shop the sales, with 56% shopping solely online.
The research also found 6% of Irish people have never shopped online.
People predominately use the internet to buy clothes and gadgets, with 70% of those that shop online buy fashion and 54% of those that shop online buy technology.
The top three stores frequented online are eBay, Amazon and clothing giants ASOS and Boohoo. Digital marketing agency, Wolfgang Digital reports that Irish interest in Amazon's UK site is 30% higher than it was 12 months ago.
The survey of 1,001 adults was carried out to investigate their shopping habits on Black Friday and online shopping habits.
It's expected that €100m will be spent by shoppers in Ireland today - both in store and online.
Door-busting sales in physical stores are becoming a thing of the past however - as shoppers continue to migrant online.
Currys PC World expects 90% of its sales to be online today.
Other retailers kicked Black Friday off earlier this week, with Argos and Harvey Norman offering deals across departments.
