A device - described as a 'legacy device' - has been made safe in Dublin.
It follows the discovery of a suspect device by a member of the public in a river in the Dodder Valley area of Tallaght this afternoon.
The Army Bomb Disposal Team were called following a request from the Gardai and the area was cordoned off.

The device was made safe at the scene shortly after 3pm. The material was handed over to Gardai to assist them with their investigation.
The Army Bomb Disposal Team made 142 call-outs in 2015.
