The Irish Naval Vessel, LÉ Samuel Beckett, has conducted another rescue operation in the Mediterranean.
The ship took 111 people on board from an inflatable rubber craft 32 miles of the Libyan coast.
Before today's operation LÉ Samuel Beckett had rescued 977 people since being deployed to help in the refugee crisis in the Mediterranean.

With a crew of 59 sailors, the Samuel Beckett is the third naval vessel to be deployed to the area, amid the ongoing refugee and migrant crisis.
Previously deployed Irish naval vessels the LÉ Eithne and LÉ Niamh rescued 7,397”‹ people during their operations in the region.
