Gardaí have arrested two people following the seizure of a kilo of heroin during a stop-and-search operation in central Dublin.
The drugs were found when officers searched a man and a woman on James' Street earlier today.
It came as part of an ongoing investigation into the activities of an organised crime gang, according to gardaí.

The heroin is thought to have a street value of €150,000.
The 26-year-old man and the woman, who is 54, are being detained under section two of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
