Square, the mobile payments company owned by Twitter founder and CEO Jack Dorsey, has new European job openings and the Irish Independent has noticed one of them is Dublin-based.

The UK is the initial focus of Square's planned European expansion, with Dorsey telling investors recently that "we do view it as a very interesting market."

While two roles are now been advertised through Indeed for a compliance analyst and communications manager in London, the company is also looking for a technical customer support representative in the Irish capital.

Here are the details.

Reuters reported last month that Square had started beta testing its payment system in London in June, as it gears up for a British launch.

Meanwhile across the Atlantic, Kanye West is set to open his Life of Pablo stores for the weekend and transactions will be going through Square's iPad-powered cash registers.

Not only will US fans of the star be able to get their hands on Life of Pablo branded merchandise in cities such as San Francisco, New York and Miami, but London, Paris, Berlin and Sydney will also be getting their own pop-ups.

A Life of Pablo pop-up in New York handled over $1 million in sales over one weekend earlier this year.

Square was founded back in 2009 and today offers not only point-of-sale registers but also invoice software and loans.

The company reported a 41.5% jump in revenue and 42% growth in payments processed for the second quarter.

It did, however, post a $27 million loss for the period.
