It seems that nowadays Irish families are finding it harder to spend time with each other. 

With the Easter holidays just around the corner, it's a good opportunity for families to get together. 

According to new research conducted by iReach Market Research on behalf of Tesco Ireland, Almost half (48%) of parents admit to finding it difficult to get their wider family together.

66% out of a national representative sample of 1,001 believed that it’s more difficult to spend time together in today’s world than in the past.

Furthermore, older adults 55+ overwhelmingly recognise Easter holidays as an opportunity for quality family time.

The majority of parents  surveyed 82%, blame "busier lives" for not allowing family members to get together more, while two thirds of adults (66%) believe precious family time is harder to come by nowadays than the past. 

100% of the older adult (55+) population overwhelmingly recognise that the upcoming Easter holidays are a good opportunity to spend time together. 

In fact, grandparents are by far the biggest consumer group to embrace the occasion where they buy Easter eggs not for themselves but for their family, particularly their grandchildren.

In the lead up to Easter, almost six out of every ten Irish parents (58%) saw it as a special family time.
