Gardaí are investigating after a man was stabbed in Co Louth.

Officers attended the scene at Fatima Drive on Bellewsbridge Road in Dundalk at around 3.00am Sunday morning.

A man aged in his mid-30s was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda with non-life threatening injuries.

The scene of the incident has been preserved and investigations are ongoing.
