Users who have update their Instagram app as of a day ago will notice the app has received a bit of a makeover.
The logo for the app has changed from the two-tone brown to a more "modern" looking purple square. The company said
"Inspired by the previous app icon, the new one represents a simpler camera and the rainbow lives on in gradient form. You’ll also see updated icons for our other creative apps: Layout, Boomerang and Hyperlapse."
The new look has received a mixed reaction from users, however, with some not holding back. One user, mizz_d_dell_ posted the following comment "Looks childish and cheap as of no effort really went into it".
There's been some changes to the internals of the app too. The design is white and more stripped back in comparison to the original version.
What do you make of the new look?
