Allegations of abuse at the Kincora Boys' Home in Belfast will be heard when a long-running public inquiry starts up again later.

Former residents will give evidence about the facility - where it is claimed a high-ranking paedophile ring targeted vulnerable boys during the 1970s.

There are also allegations the security services knew about the abuse but did nothing to stop it.

Three senior care workers at the home were jailed in 1981 for abusing boys.

The hearings on Kincora and the Bawnmore Children's Home in Newtownabbey make up the 15th module of the Historical Institutional Abuse Inquiry.

The inquiry, which got underway in January 2014, is being chaired by Anthony Hart, and is investigating whether children suffered abuse at a number of institutions between 1922 and 1995.
