Here's a guide to ensure your tech and your kids place nice together
As all parents will know it’s so very important to baby-proof your home as your child begins to move, but what about your technology? The tiny hands of kids today know that a swipe from left to right unlocks an iPad and that three taps gives them access to Netflix, so how can you protect your devices and kids from each other?
I think it’s good that children know how to use technology, but obviously recommend that it’s used in moderation and under supervision. In my opinion child-specific tablets are a waste of money. Kids outgrow them very quickly.
If you want to give your child their own tablet, I would recommend a 8.0 inch or 10.1 inch tablet and baby-proof it. It’s possible to get a cheap enough Android tablet that will allow the child to watch video content and play games - but will also last more than a year.
When you give a child a tablet; be that their own device or pass them your one, there are certain steps you should take.
