Huawei continue to impress me. When they first arrived into Ireland, I deemed them to be the masters of the lower end smartphones. The company produced solid devices with affordable price-tags. Since that time they have gone on to produce devices in various price brackets and proven themselves worthy of their excellent international reputation.
Not so long ago I told you about the P9 and this week I've another device from the Chinese manufacturer to tell you about.
This is the Mate S. It's a premium device, and with its 5.5-inch display it shapes up nicely against the high-end devices on the market at the moment. It has a slightly curved back that sits very comfortably in the hand. It's light, thin and beautiful to look at.
The Mate S runs Android Lollipop and has an impressive set of features internally.
The phone has an octa-core processor and 3GB of RAM which ensures a smooth experience for the user. There's a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The camera is incredibly impressive and has a fully manual "Pro Mode" which allows users to fine tune the ISO, shutter speed and brightness.
The Huawei Mate S is now exclusively available at Three with the 32GB version in titanium grey and is free on the Three’s €55 tariff plan and on prepay from €459.99
