Gardaí have released a man they had been questioning about the murder of a woman in Cork.

The body of Nicola Collins (38) was discovered at a house in Pophams Road, Faranree early yesterday morning.

The scene was preserved for a technical examination, and a post mortem was carried out at Cork University Hospital.

A man in his 40s was arrested in connection with the discovery of the body, and Gardaí say he has now been released.

A file will be prepared for the DPP.
