Gardaí are appealing for any information regarding an armed robbery in Dublin over the weekend.
A man armed with a knife entered a shop on South Leinster Street in Dublin 2 at 12:15pm on Saturday 24th June.
Gardaí said the man threatened staff with the weapon before making off with a sum of money.
Members of the public attempted to catch the suspect as he fled the scene; however he made his escape in the direction of Westland Row.
It is believed the man – who was wearing a blue/navy puffa type jacket – got into a taxi between Lincoln Place and Westland Row.
Gardaí are calling for anyone with any information to contact them.
In particular they are appealing for any member of the public who attempted to catch the suspect, who witnessed the incident or may have captured it on camera to contact them at Pearse St Garda Station on 01-6669000 or on the Garda Confidential Line at 1800-666-111.
