Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the sudden death of a man in his late 30s in Dublin city centre early this morning.
The man was found collapsed on Westland Row at around 7.30am this morning.
He had been walking up the road towards Lincoln Place and collapsed on to the roadway. A passing motorist stopped and performed first aid and CPR.
The man was brought to St James's Hospital, but he later died. A post-mortem is expected to be carried out tomorrow.
Gardaí in Pearse Street are appealing to anybody who was on Westland Row between 7.25am and 7.45am this morning and who may have seen the man to contact them at 01- 666-9000.
