Gardaí appeal for witnesses after man dies in Lucan crash

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a 32-year-old man died in a crash in Lucan Co. Dublin yesterday.

The man was fatally injured when his car hit a stone wall before Junction 4a on the N4 Lucan Rd inbound shortly before 1pm.

There was no one else travelling in the car at the time.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown for a post-mortem.

The Coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will be carried out.

The road was closed for a time as garda forensic investigators examined the crash site but it has since reopened.
