A garda investigation is underway after X-rated photos and videos emerged of players from a County Kilkenny GAA team celebrating a county final win.

Two strippers are seen in the footage taken at a party celebrating Ballyragget club, St Patrick’s intermediate hurling final win.

One image shows what appears to be a sex act being performed.

St Patricks secured a 1-19 to 2-10 victory over Graigue Ballycallan at Nowlan Park on Sunday.

The win came after they lost three county finals in recent years.

Gardaí have said that no complaint has been made, however they are looking into the matter. 

The Kilkenny GAA County Board has also launched an investigation.

In a statement yesterday, the club said the photographs were taken at a private event – adding that it will “co-operate fully into any investigation into the matter."
