Friday's weather: Wet weather in some areas, dry spells too

Some sunny spells today, but generally cloudy.

Misty, wet weather will develop over parts of Ulster and Connacht this afternoon, with the rain turning persistent and heavy later.

Some drizzle and mist elsewhere too, mainly this evening, but much of east Munster and south Leinster should hold dry.

Top temperatures 17 to 22 degrees, best in sunny break in eastern areas.


Humid and misty, with widespread patches of rain, drizzle and fog, with some persistent rain along the northwest, north and parts of the west coasts.

But some dry spells too, best in eastern areas.

Lowest temperatures 11 to 15 C., in fresh and gusty south to southwest winds.
