Friday's weather: Sunny spells before rain pushes into parts of west and northwest

Today will be dry with good sunny spells at first, but cloud will gradually increase from the west with rain pushing into parts of the west and northwest by late afternoon or evening. It will become windy as southerly winds increasing fresh to strong and gusty.

Top temperatures of 11 to 13 degrees.


During tonight the rain in the west will spread eastwards and turn heavy and persistent by morning. Southerly winds will continue strong and gusty but moderate towards morning.

Lowest temperatures will stay around 4 to 8 degrees.
