Friday's weather: Showers and risk of thunderstorms, windy tonight

Showers spreading from the west will become widespread and occasionally heavy this morning.

There will be an increasing risk of isolated thunderstorms during the day also.

Strengthening, southwest to west winds will make it feel rather cool - highest temperatures 13 to 16 degrees Celsius


Early tonight, showers will become confined to western and northern counties with clear spells developing elsewhere.

However, westerly winds will remain fresh and gusty overnight and it will turn cooler.

Lowest temperatures 7 to 10 degrees Celsius.
