Mainly dry this morning, with bright or sunny spells and just a few scattered showers in parts of the north. Cloudy conditions, with outbreaks of rain and drizzle, will extend gradually from the Atlantic during the afternoon and evening, turning heavy in many areas later this evening and early tonight, especially in parts of the west.
Maximum temperatures 9 to 13 Celsius, in mostly moderate westerly breezes, fresh at times in coastal areas.
Tonight will be cloudy and wet, with widespread rain, heavy in many areas, with a risk of localized flooding. Hill and coastal fog also. Clearer conditions will move down across northern areas and it will turn cold here, with temperatures of 2 to 5 Celsius, with some grass frost and fog.
Milder elsewhere, with values of 6 to 12 Celsius. Winds mostly light to moderate westerly overnight, but fresh or strong along western and southern coasts.
