It will be mainly cloudy today with occasional light rain or drizzle, but with a few brighter intervals at times.
Rain will become persistent in the west and northwest this evening.
It will be cool, with top temperatures of 10C to 13C degrees in mainly light south-west or variable breezes.
Outbreaks of rain will become widespread for a time early tonight, before turning to showers and clear spells overnight.
The showers will be heaviest and most frequent in Atlantic coastal counties.
Temperatures will drop to between 3C and 6C degrees with some grass frost in places.
There will be light to moderate west to north-west breezes inland, but fresh to strong near coasts.
