Cold this morning with scattered showers, a few of them wintry on hills.

Clear spells also with frost and some icy patches.

Further showers of rain or hail today, but dry, bright periods also, the best of these in the midlands and east.

Highest temperatures of 4 to 8 degrees with light to moderate southwest breezes.


Tonight will start off mainly dry with clear spells and well-scattered showers.

Frost and icy patches will develop in many areas.

Heavier showers will spread from the southwest later in the night. Some will be wintry towards morning.

Lowest temperatures of -2 to +2 degrees.
