Four Star Pizza has announced plans to open a further 10 stores in Republic of Ireland, creating up to 150 new jobs in the process.

The Irish-owned pizza chain is also planning to open 6 stores in Northern Ireland, bringing a further 100 jobs.

First established in 1986, Four Star Pizza currently operates 46 stores across Ireland. The total expansion will bring the number of Four Star Pizza outlets in all of Ireland to 62 and will create total of 250 jobs with over €3 million being invested in the franchise over the next 12 months.

Four Star Pizza’s first restaurant was opened in 1986 in Crumlin.

Jobs being created will include delivery drivers, front of house staff, store managers and ‘doughologists’, the highly trained staff who craft delicious pizzas made fresh to order at all Four Star Pizza outlets.

The company's Head of Marketing, Brian Clarke said: “Progress and expansion in the overall Irish market are very important to us and we have been steadily growing since the opening of our first store franchise in 1986

With the demand for take-away offerings on the rise nationwide, there is a continuing opportunity for Four Star Pizza which is reflected in our plans to increase our total number of stores to 62 in the next 12 months."

Mr Clarke said the company would welcome interest from potential franchisees both north and south of the border: “We have an excellent relationship with our existing franchisees and hope to showcase the lucrative opportunities associated with becoming part of the franchise.

Entrepreneurs

“Two of our franchisees operate 6 outlets each, whilst another has just opened his third store, having started life as a Four Star delivery driver," Mr Clarke continued.

"If there are any ambitious entrepreneurs out there who would like to run their own business as a part of a progressive, marketing and data driven brand, taking a slice out of the expanding take-away market, we would welcome their interest and invite them to make contact with us."
