Fifteen people have been arrested in Belgium - some on suspicion of recruiting others to join Islamic State in Syria.

They're being questioned after 15 homes were raided around the country.

Prosecutors say no weapons or explosives have been found.

The raids took place in Ghent, Deinze and Antwerp.

Earlier this month, two police officers in Brussels were stabbed in a suspected terrorist attack.

Eric Van Der Sypt, a spokesman for the Belgian federal prosecutor's office said: "We have reason to believe the incident was a terrorist attack."

At the moment police do not believe the arrests are linked to the terror attacks in Brussels last March.

Faycal Cheffou has been charged with terrorist murder after the attacks earlier this year, which left 34 people dead.
