Gardaí are investigating an overnight assault on two members of An Garda Síochána in Finglas, Co Dublin.
At approximately 1:50am this morning, a male Garda Sergeant and a female Garda approached a number of men at Aylward Green. One of these men assaulted the two Gardaí, with both members sustaining injuries.
The Sergeant received facial injuries and the Garda sustained a fractured wrist. Both members were taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown.
