More than 70 people have reportedly been killed in Mozambique after an oil tank truck burst into flames.

Local media says 73 people were killed and scores more injured.

It happened in a village in western Mozambique, near the border with Malawi, on Thursday.

It is believed that 110 people are injured, some of them critically.

Government sources have said that children were among the wounded.
