It says this will see its busiest ever programme over four pre-Christmas weekends.

Late night services will run from Friday December 2nd.

The full schedule will see trains run on:

  • Friday December 2nd and Saturday December 3rd
  • Thursday December 8th to Saturday December 10th
  • Thursday December 15th to Saturday December 17th
  • Thursday December 22nd and Friday December 23rd

Services will run on these dates from Pearse and Connolly serving all stations to Howth - as well as Greystones, Dundalk and Maynooth.

While late night trains will also run on Saturday December 31st after New Year's Eve concerts.

Fares will be charged at normal DART and Commuter rates - commuter tickets and Leap cards are valid on late night services.

While weekly, monthly and annual season tickets are also valid on the services.

Irish Rail say this means season ticket holders will be able to use the service at no extra charge.

The company say security personnel will be on board to ensure customer safety.

A spokesperson for Iarnród Éireann says: "We have expanded services further this year, and looking forward to welcoming Christmas partygoers on board for a journey home which will be safe and help save money at an expensive time of year."
