In the next episode in the series, Jack Murray, founder of brand story telling agency 'All Good Tales', looks at the moment Tiger Woods' world seemingly came crashing down.
In last week’s radio column “Breakthrough media moments that shaped the world”, Jack Murray of story telling agency All Good Tales, told the story of Padraig Flynn’s famous interview on the Late Late Show.
This week, we hear the story of the downfall of Tiger Woods.
Our breakthrough moments centre around the idea that a moment can change everything that happens after it. The key moment here is the crash that would change Tiger’s life and the way the world viewed him forever.
As Tiger lies unconscious beside his smashed up SUV, his neighbour calls the emergency services.
He is taken to hospital and treated for several injuries. Within minutes the scene was a hive of activity with emergency responders and then the media.
Curiously, the previous day the National Enquirer carried the headline “Tiger Woods Cheating Scandal.” The story detailed Woods’ affair with a nightclub hostess named Rachel Uchitel.
His wife, Elin Nordregen allegedly attacked him with a golf club. Moments later Woods found himself unconscious on his neighbour’s lawn. It was at this moment that his life was ruined.
Listen below to allgoodtales.com's Jack Murray take you through the full story of how this media moment changed how the world viewed Tiger forever.
