Pharmacy chain Boots is recalling two baby soothers over a potential manufacturing fault.

It says the issue might cause a small tear in the silicone teat.

The company says the recall is a precautionary measure.

  Boots Baby Airflow Soother 0-6 months
  Boots Baby Airflow Soother 6 months

It is asking customers to return these products to its stores immediately for a refund, or replacement with a similar item.

A spokesperson for Boots says: "We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause our customers and would like to offer our reassurances that as soon as the fault was identified as part of our quality control process we immediately removed these lines from sale."

It says no other products are affected.
