The body of a man in his sixties has been removed to University College Hospital Galway
Gardaí are investigating the discovery of a body at the side of a road in Galway.
The body of a man in his mid sixties was found this morning, Sunday 12th February, 2017 at approximately 10.50am in Kilcloghans, Tuam Co Galway.
The body was removed to University College Hospital Galway.
Gardaí said a post mortem is to be arranged and will dictate the course of the investigation.
Gardaí at Tuam are seeking the assistance of any person who may have seen a male on the road between the Ballygaddy Road junction and the new roundabout on the N17 at Kilcloghans between 10.30pm Saturday the 11th February and 10am Sunday 12th February 2017.
