The death toll following a terror attack in Barcelona has risen to 16.
The Department of Health there reports that a 51-year-old German woman who was admitted to hospital after the incident has died.
Authorities say she was in a critical condition at the Hospital del Mar in the city.

The attacks in central Barcelona and in the nearby seaside resort of Cambrils left around 120 people wounded.
There are currently 24 people still in hospital following the attacks.
A van crashed into crowds on Barcelona's main thoroughfare of Las Ramblas on August 17th.
A suspect arrested in the aftermath of the attacks was released on Thursday.
Salh el Karib was among four surviving suspects who appeared in Madrid's National Court.
