Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a woman in her 70s was injured in Dublin yesterday during an attempted robbery.
The incident happened at a bus stop on Newgrove Avenue in Sandymount, just before 7pm.
A man - who may have been in his early 20s - made off with nothing after a struggle to get the woman's handbag.
While she was able to hold on to her bag, the woman sustained a number of injuries.
She was taken to St Vincent's Hospital for treatment, where her injuries are described as not life threatening.
Gardaí are looking to speak to any witnesses, and anyone with information can contact Irishtown Garda Station on 01-666-9600, the Confidential Line on 1800-666-111, or any Garda station.
