70 new jobs are on the way at an artificial intelligence start-up based in Dublin.

AYLIEN announced the roles this morning as part of a €2m investment led by the Atlantic Bridge University Fund, which invests in companies built from world-class research.

The company develops technology that can analyse large amounts of text and mine it for data.

It has built strategic research partnerships with a number of Irish universities with its technology in use at multi-national companies including Sony, Microsoft, and Deloitte.

The new jobs will be introduced across the business and will include opportunities for software engineering, product management, sales and marketing.

Speaking at the announcement of the jobs this morning the Tánaiste and Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, Frances Fitzgerald noted that AYLIEN CEO Parsa Ghaffari originally moved to Dublin through Enterprise Ireland's Start Up Entrepreneur Programme.

"I am delighted to join Parsa Ghaffari and his team at AYLIEN for the announcement of 70 new high value jobs," she said.

"Today’s jobs and funding announcement, paves the way for AYLIEN to significantly scale its business globally.

"I look forward to continued engagement with AYLIEN."
