The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus may only be a few months old, but speculation is already beginning to mount as to what the iPhone 8 and beyond will look like. If the latest rumours are to believed, Apple may well unveil the most drastic change to their mobile devices, since the launch of the original iPhone. 

Patently Apple, a website that's dedicated to monitoring and dissecting Apple's latest intellectual property, is reporting that the company has successfully patented a foldable screen. They also report that the company has been trying to secure such a patent for at least three years. 

While we don't have much more information than this right now, it's an interesting concept and one which may become a trend. Samsung applied for a similar patent earlier this year.
