Cocktails on the Tom Dunne Show: Frozen Gin & Tonic

Up your G&T game with this icy masterpiece...

As always on a Thursday, Oisin Davis from Great Irish Beverages is live on the Tom Dunne Show to make another smashing cocktail. This week, he's got a great idea that will put your nutribullet to good use.

 

Oisin says: 

Although the weather in the Irish summer can be rather schizophrenic, there will always be intermittent rays of sunshine. These fleeting moments should always be fully utilised and there are few drinks more apt for this time of year than something boozy and frozen.

This will be especially useful to anyone who has one of those nutribullet things but has no clue what to do with it. Dust it off and get the gin in, it's party time! And pick up the current issue of Uncorked in Supervalu if you want to check out more summer drinks recipes like this one. 

 

Ingredients:

  • 50 ml Beefeater Gin
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of lime juice
  • 150 ml flat Poacher's Premium Irish Tonic

 

Method:

Pour the tonic into a pot and stir for 1 minute with a spoon to remove the fizz. Place all ingredients along with a fistful of ice into a nutribullet or blender. Pour into a long glass and garnish with a lemon slice.
