WATCH: Ben Affleck uses his skills for evil in "The Accountant"

Expect some Oscar talk around this one...

While Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice didn't quite land with critics the way he would have liked, just about everyone agreed that Ben Affleck's portrayal of The Dark Knight was one of that film's highlights.

Affleck's antics within Gotham and the rest of the DC Universe is filling up his schedule pretty rapidly - on top of an appearance in this August's Suicide Squad, he's also writing and directing the next standalone Batman movie, and there's the two upcoming Justice League movies - he's still putting time aside for the less commercial, more intriguing projects like The Accountant.

Affleck plays a Chris, a man with a mind meant for numbers, but with very limited social skills. He's hired by a gang to cook their books, and it's not long before he's caught up in a violent world of crime and double-crosses. The supporting cast is very impressive, including Anna Kendrick, J.K. Simmons, Jon Berenthal, John Lithgow and Jeffrey Tambor, while director Gavin O'Connor (Warrior, Pride & Glory) will be calling the shots behind the camera.

The Accountant is released in a prime Oscar-contender window, due for release in Irish cinemas on November 4th.
