How to make Brilliant BBQ Burgers

With the weather (finally) hotting up, it's time to dust of those BBQ's and get enjoying the sunshine. The Wonky Spatula has the prefect burger recipe to spice things up...

What you'll need:

    • 400g of your preferred mince
    • ½ of a red onion
    • ¼ of a green pepper
    • 1 tsp chilli flakes
    • 1 tsp ground cumin
    • 1 tsp chilli powder
    • 1 egg
    • Coconut oil

Method:

1. In a large bowl combine the onion, pepper and spices with the mince before whisking the egg and adding it to the mixture.
2. Once the mix is combined, shape into patties.
3. Heat a large griddle pan with some coconut oil and fry for 5-6 minutes a side, or until cooked through to your liking.
4. Perfect served with some fresh salad and some baked sweet potato!
