Walking into the crowd, the singer danced with his mother Adele in front of the sold-out Madison Square Garden crowd
American rock star Bruce Springsteen delighted fans at his sold-out show in New York’s Madison Square Garden by walking into the crowd and dancing with his 90-year-old mother Adele.
In videos taken by fans and posted on YouTube, Adele Springsteen’s impromptu performance has become a viral hit as she rocks out to an extended jam of the song Ramrod from The Boss’ 1980 album The River.
Standing face-to-face with his mother, the 66-year-old rocker proceeded to dance with his mother before telling the crowd, “She’s still got the moves!” Springsteen then kisses her and makes his way back on stage.
Springsteen and his mother are known for their close relationship, which stands at odds with the musician’s strained encounters with his father when he was growing up in New Jersey. The singer has previously said that it was a loan his mother Adele took out on his 16th birthday that allowed him to buy a $60 Kent guitar that launched his career.
Beloved for his high energy performances, Springsteen is bringing his tour to Dublin for two shows in Croke Park at the end of May. You can watch his mother’s cameo appearance at his New York show below:
